  • Why should I hire a personal stylist?
Whether you’re tweaking your look or overhauling your whole wardrobe, it’s a big job and requires a lot of time and energy. To make sure you get it right, it’s best to bring in an expert who can advise you on fit, color, body type and style. It also makes the process way less stressful and a lot more fun!
  • What kind of people do you work with?
I work with all types of people. Working professionals, men, women, those who are single, those changing careers, or simply someone like you.
  • What is your styling specialty? What sets you apart from the rest of the personal stylists out there?
I think of myself as the “Realistic stylist” - I bring the celebrity-type experience of having a personal stylist to clients everywhere. I also work with budgets of all sizes and help make realistic fashion decisions- you aren’t required to buy designer clothes to work with me!
  • Why is personal style and appearance important?
Personal style is important because what you wear tells the world who you are. When your clothes fit properly and enhance your body shape and natural coloring, you send the message that you care about yourself and what you do.
  • How does style and appearance affect someone personally and professionally?
It feeds into every area of your life. You feel more confident and you look more competent. You’re likely to be more social because you feel good about the way you look when you go out. You never know what good things will happen when you’re dressed for it!
  • Where do you recommend people shop?
The stores I recommend vary greatly based on the client’s personal style and their budget. That being said, there are a few places that always seem to serve up great options no matter what your style is: Nordstrom, Zara, H&M and Levi’s.
  • Where are your favorite places to shop?
I love thrift shopping! The treasure hunt is so exciting - you never know what you'll find! But my dream shopping destination is Cettire, Farfetch, Zara and online shops- so many gorgeous designer pieces all in one place!
  • How would you describe your style?
Cute Casual and comfortable, If I can wear sneakers, I'm there!
  • If I work with you, will you dress me in your style?
Not at all! My goal is to help you discover and express your own personal style.
  • Who are your style icons?
There are so many incredible women who inspire me with their unique take on fashion: Ashlee Muhammad, Teyana Taylor, Zendaya, Kelly Rowland, Brooklyn Betty, and Iesha The Gr8 are some of my favorite fashion icons!
  • When did you know you wanted to be a stylist?
I found out about styling as a career option when I was twelve years old. I was looking through a CD’s liner notes and discovered that the band had a wardrobe stylist who dressed them. I was so excited to find out that I could have a career that involved two of my favorite things: fashion and music. It was one of those lightbulb moments - I knew right then and there that's exactly what I wanted to do!
  • How did you become a stylist?
Growing up, I loved to play dress up, and loved to shop. My friends and family would ask my opinion on their outfits or simply ask me to dress them and that's just what I did. In 2018 I was the merchandiser for Nike where I dressed the mannequins weekly which was so much fun for me. Fast forward to 2022 where I attended Miss Hylton's Fashion Academy in NYC as a style student learning from the best in the industry. I later graduated with my styling certification and was ready to start building my clientele. I was determined to give myself the best possible foundation for a successful styling career, so I took advantage of the projects I was a part of and the networking I've done. After I finished my final class with MHFA, I took about a year to build my business - writing the consultation materials, having the website designed, and compiling my marketing information. The OG Collection was created in 2019 and then later launched in 2024.
  • My dream is to do what you do! How can I become a personal stylist?
I’d be happy to give you some advice for breaking into the styling business. Before you begin your styling career, I highly recommend taking classes with fashion professionals. They don't require a long term commitment or a ton of money, but provide invaluable information for breaking into the styling world and how to work when you actually begin your styling career. To be sure of the right styling career path for you, some questions to ask yourself would be: • Am I very organized? Any form of styling requires a GREAT amount of organization. • Do I have enough self discipline to go after work for myself? If not, it would be great for you to work as a stylist for a company, or as an assistant stylist working alongside someone else. • Do I thrive on working one on one with people, or in a team centered atmosphere? If you prefer the former, personal styling is a good match for you, if you prefer the latter, it would work well for you to work as a fashion or wardrobe stylist for a company, or as an assistant stylist. • Who do I want to work with? Celebrities? Musicians? Actors? Designers? Regular people? This will determine the type of styling you want to get into.
  • Do you take on interns?
At this time I am actively looking to work with interns. Please inquire within.
